Michael Fleischacker, Partner

It started for Michael as a child playing in the prairies and forests of the Upper Midwest. This playful passion for the outdoors was mirrored by his love of art which naturally progressed into the field of landscape architecture. For Michael, these native landscapes continue to inspire his career as a designer and educator.

Michael’s 14 year career includes garden design, urban design, campus and community planning, ecological restoration, green roofs, rooftop gardens, recreational parks, greenways and regional planning. His expertise in regenerative strategy focuses on the design of sustainable living systems with a special emphasis on water management. In addition to managing projects and clients, Michael has significant experience managing office personnel and other aspects of a developmental professional practice.

In 2009, Mr. Fleischacker took his career back into academia when he joined the faculty at Delaware Valley College. He currently oversees the Environmental Design program and its 30 students. His regenerative and collaborative professional style has carried over to the classroom. He pursues interdisciplinary design studios with “real” projects offering students a diverse, hands-on learning experience. Michael is a registered landscape architect and a LEED accredited professional with the United States Green Building Council.
